Any (more) questions?

Alright, for those of you arriving late to the party, here are the answers to your questions:

Jen – my main interests are music (mainly listening, but occasionally, very very occasionally, playing the drums), movies, hanging out with friends and, increasingly, losing hours of my life on the internet. Thankfully, now that I have a blog, that shouldn’t happen so much… oh, hang on a sec…

Tina and Ophelia – the avatar came from one of the files of avatars Dave has stored up for just such an occasion as this. I’m pretty sure it’s Badly Drawn Boy’s hat, although I don’t remember him ever wearing a fish badge on it (after several attempts at spelling icthu… icht… ihctu… that Greek word for fish, I thought I’d stick with the English). Fetching, eh?

Right, you can keep asking questions if you like, but as of tomorrow I shall be trying to write something – anything – to justify this blog’s existence. Tune in for more exciting adventures…

FAQ’s (well, maybe just AQ’s)

Thanks for the swift and warm welcomes, it’s nice to be so enthusiastically welcomed into the Wibworld. And thanks to the Ship of Fools folks who’ve popped by for a nosy look at what I’m up to here – you’re more than welcome too.

So to your questions:

Jack the Lass – One of the key reasons behind coming to the Wibsite was that certain relatives of mine also have Wiblogs (I’m sure they’ll pop out of the woodwork any moment to make disparaging comments about me). But probably the main reason was that I love the community aspect of this – the fact that so many people read each other’s blogs, support and pray for each other. You don’t get that on most blog sites.

Farli – My favourite jam is strawberry, though I’m also quite partial to raspberry and blackcurrant jams – not so much of a fan of citrus fruits. No particular reason, just my taste buds enjoy the experience more.

Alice – When I was 3 I lived in Cambridge. Well, actually in a village a few miles outside of Cambridge. It was quite nice when I was a child; personally, I think it’s a bit of a dump now, and is gradually being turned into an out-of-town shopping centre by a certain large supermarket chain who shall remain nameless (but it sounds like Wesco). I don’t live there anymore, but I go back from time to time to see my parents and friends.

If anyone’s just found this and still has questions, go ahead and ask, I’ll be happy to answer them (well, unless it’s, "What’s your bank account number, sort code and identification password?"). In the meantime, I’m going to think of something to blog about.

Welcome to Blogsville…

…at least I came up with a better title than "New Kid on the Blog", which I am pleased to have not had to resort to.

So, what’s all this then? Who’s the newby? Well, it’s me. My name’s Steve, and frankly, I don’t know what else to tell you, ’cause I don’t know what you want to know. So tell me, and I’ll tell you.

I’m not entirely sure how this Wiblog will turn out – it may end up being an in-depth guide to my life, or a place to let off steam, or (most likely) somewhere to share the frankly strange gibberish running through my head at any given time. But I hope it’ll be as fun for you as it will for me. Or more fun for you. Or more fun for me. Or all of the above.

So, any questions?
